Kimura Shihan

Kimura Shihan get into practicing aikido in 1963 as a student in Junior High School under Kobayashi Hirokazu Shihan, long before the death of Aikido’s founder, Morihei Ueshiba. Kimura Shihan is one of the leading Master of Aikido in the Kansai region of Japan. He received his 8th Dan at the Kagami Biraki ceremony in 2016, together with Christian Tissier and Miyamoto Tsuruzo Shihan, and he is currently one reference Shihan for Aikikai in Japan.

In 2016, Kimura Shihan was graduated the 8th Dan, along with Christian Tissier and Miyamoto Tsuruzo Shihan, all of them being 8th Dan holders from Hombu Dojo.

Kimura Shihan is one of the main Master of the Aikikai Foundation in the Kansai region and well known in Europe, maintaining close relationships with the Doshu and the Hombu Dojo in Tokyo.

Kimura Shihan was a direct student of Kobayashi Hirokazu Shihan and one of the founders of the current Aikido Osaka Buikukai association.

International Seminar in Italy

After more than 10 years of waiting, Kimura Shihan will be returning to Europe, and we will have the honor of hosting him in Northern Italy (Veneto and Lombardy) for a series of meetings and classes. The main event will take place in Lissone (Monza e Brianza), hosted by the Aikido Shinsei Lissone Dojo, where national representatives from various schools/styles and international participants from Switzerland, France, Poland, Belgium, UK, Malta, and more will be attending.

How to participate

The seminar is open to all Aikido practitioners who are duly registered with a Federation/EPS and have valid sports practice insurance. Participants from any association and style are welcome to attend.

Note: It is recommended to arrive well in advance to avoid queues during registration. In case it is not possible to find parking on Via Alfieri, there are convenient parking options available in the nearby streets or at the various shopping centers in the area (Decathlon, Mondo Convenienza, etc.). How to reach the Sports Hall

The sports hall is easily accessible by both car and train. Please refer to the map for the different options available for reaching the venue.

From Switzerland by car

When coming from Canton Ticino and passing through Valico di Brogeda, continue on A9. It is possible to continue on the Pedemontana A36 (check tolls on the website), then continue on SP35 and follow the local roads until you reach the sports hall. (Approximately 50 minutes by car from Chiasso.)

From Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 (VA)

By Car: From Malpensa Airport Terminal 1, take the SS336 and merge onto the E62/A8 towards Milan. Continue on the E64/A4 towards Venice. Take the exit for Cinisello B. and continue on the SS36 towards Lecco. Take the exit for Lissone. (Approximately 45-60 minutes by car)

By Shuttle and Public Transportation: From Malpensa Airport (both T1 and T2), take the Orioshuttle towards Orio al Serio. Get off at Monza FS (Monza train station). From Monza FS, take a train either towards Como or Saronno and get off at Lissone. The Sports Hall is approximately a 5-minute walk from the station.

From Orio al Serio Airport (BG)

By Car: From Orio al Serio Airport, take the A4/E64 highway towards Milan-Turin. Take the exit for Cinisello B. and continue on the SS36 towards Lecco. Take the exit for Lissone. (Approximately 45 minutes by car)

By Shuttle and Public Transportation: Take the Orioshuttle from Orio al Serio Airport to Monza FS (Monza train station). From Monza FS, take Line 3 towards Malpensa and get off at Monza. From Monza, take the S9 or S11 train towards Como San Giovanni or Saronno (1 stop) to reach Lissone-Muggiò (Please check the train schedules). The Sports Hall is approximately a 5-minute walk from the station.

From Linate Airport (MI)

By Car: From Linate Airport, take Viale Enrico Forlanini to access the A51 towards Milan. Continue on A51, A52, and SS 36 del Lago di Como e dello Spluga towards Lecco. Take the exit for Lissone. (Approximately 30 minutes by car)

By Public Transportation: Take bus line 73 or the M4 metro from Milan Linate Airport to Milano Forlanini station. From Milano Forlanini, take the S9 train towards Saronno to reach Lissone-Muggiò (Please check the train schedules). The Sports Hall is approximately a 5-minute walk from the station.

From Milan by train

From Milano Centrale Station:
Take the M2 metro line (green line) towards Abbiategrasso. Get off at Milano Porta Garibaldi. From Milano Porta Garibaldi, take the train towards Como San Giovanni. Get off at Lissone-Muggiò station. The Sports Hall is approximately a 5-minute walk from the station.

Unfortunately, the municipal facilities do not allow overnight stays on the tatami, so we can recommend some hotels in the area. (Please consider the need to travel by car from the hotel to the sports hall).

The Italy Tour of Kimura J. Shihan is organized by M° Roberto Favaro from the Montebelluna Dojo, and the event on October 15th will be organized by M° Federico Vottre from the Aikido Shinsei Lissone Dojo, an affiliated dojo of Aikido Osaka Buikukai, with the patronage of Comune di Lissone and CRL Aikido FIJLKAM.

Full Day: €50
Half Day (Morning or Afternoon): €40

By registering between October 1st and October 8th, the contribution will be €55 for the full day stage/€45 for the half-day session.
From October 9th until the day of the event, subject to seat availability, the final contribution will be €65 for the full day stage/€50 for the half-day session.
Participants Under 18 years old (with a valid identification document) will have a fixed contribution of €30.
